- Aims and scope: The International Journal of Legal Research and Governance aims to contribute to the advancement and dissemination of knowledge in the fields of Law and Social Science. IJLRG publishes papers on a broad range of topics in the areas of Law and Governance , which hold much promise for the future, are also within the scope of International Journal of Legal Research and Governance.
The journal accepts only those papers that are most significant to the field of Law and Social sciences. Thus, manuscripts focusing on only optimization of some objective function based on a conventional statistical approach will be editorially rejected. - Editorial policy:General requirements : Manuscripts submitted to the journal must represent reports of unpublished original research, which are not under consideration for publication elsewhere in any medium. Related manuscripts that are in press or submitted elsewhere must accompany the submission. The submission for publication must be approved by all authors.
- Permissions : The corresponding author must obtain permission from the copyright owner to reproduce figures or tables that have been published elsewhere and credit the sources in the relevant figure legend or table footnote of the manuscript.
- Authorship : Authorship credit should be based on substantial contributions to the overall design and execution of the work. The corresponding author (the single person to whom all the correspondence on the manuscript should be addressed) is responsible for ensuring that all contributors meet the authorship criteria and for informing all authors of the manuscript’s status throughout the review and publication process. The order of authorship on the byline should be a joint decision of the co-authors. Statements regarding equal contributions by two or more authors (e.g., the first two authors contributed equally to this work) are permitted as footnotes to bylines.
- Conflict of interest : Authors are requested at the time of submission to disclose any commercial association as well as consulting, stock ownership, equity interests, and patent-licensing arrangements that might pose a conflict of interest in connection with their submitted paper. Sources of any financial support of the project must be credited in the Acknowledgments section.
- Copyright : International Journal of Legal Research and Governance is copyrighted by the Law Mantra, India, and authors are considered to have transferred their rights to Law Mantra. Requests for any reproduction or translation of IJLRG articles should be submitted to the Law Mantra. - Correction of English :Law Mantra strongly recommends authors who are unsure of proper English usage to have their manuscripts checked by language editing services prior to submission. Manuscripts that do not conform to Standard English usage may be editorially rejected and returned to the authors. Manuscripts under review may be sent to language correction at the editor’s discretion. In such case, the costs must be borne by the author. - The Editorial Board: Members of the Editorial Board, which is international, are appointed by the Advisory Board of the Law Mantra India. The composition of the Board is such that there is a wide range of expert opinion covering most areas of research in Law and Social science.
- The Editors are supported by an international panel of Editorial Advisers. These are independent reviewers, who are expert each in their own specific field of Law and Social Science and who review paper for the journal. The close association of the Advisers with the journal means that a high standard of reviewing can be maintained.
Editors of review normally serve for a period of 3 years, although this may be extended for a further 4 years in some cases. The composition of the Advisory Panel is reviewed each year. The names of the members of the Editorial Board, Advisory Board and Editor Review Committee Members are published on the Journal’s website.
Authors may suggest potential reviewers for their paper in the letter of submission, but the journal will usually regard such suggestions as a guide only and is under no obligation to follow them. Authors may also specify the names of those they wish to be excluded from the review process for a particular paper; in such cases their wishes are usually respected, unless, of course, in the opinion of the journal such a request unreasonably excludes all the expertise available to it in that legal area.
Review process : All manuscripts are considered to be confidential and are reviewed by members of Editorial Board, and qualified referees. Reviews are normally completed within 3 to 4 weeks from receipt of the manuscripts and the corresponding author will be notified of the editor’s decision to accept, reject, or require revision. Note that manuscripts may be editorially rejected without review, on the basis of lack of conformity to the standards set forth in these instructions. When requested for revision, authors must submit the revised version along with a point-by-point response to each reviewer and the editor. If the revision is not submitted within 30 days, the submission will be withdrawn and any revised version will be considered as a new submission. Additional time for revision is granted upon request, at the discretion of the editor. Manuscripts that have been rejected or withdrawn may be resubmitted with appropriate modifications based on the editor’s comments. In such cases, the revised version must be submitted as a new submission, accompanied by the former manuscript number and detailed response to original reviewers, but not be sent to the original editor directly.
Notification of acceptance : Once a decision has been made on an article, the corresponding author will be notified. If the article is accepted, it will be entered into publication system and the corresponding author will receive an acknowledgement letter containing the production reference number, accompanied by an offprint order form and a copyright transfer form.
Proofs : The corresponding author will receive one set of page proofs in PDF format by publication department. The address for return of corrected proofs will be clearly indicated in that proof e-mail.
Reprints : The corresponding author, at no cost, will be provided with a PDF file of the article via e-mail. The PDF file is a watermarked version of the published article and includes a cover sheet with the journal cover image and a disclaimer outlining the terms and conditions of use.
Guidelines for Submission
- All submission in Electronic form: All contributions have to be submitted in electronic form. The manuscript should be typed in MS Office double spaced, with a left margin of one and half inches and send it to: *insert email*
2. Abstract: Abstract of the paper in 250-300 words should be sent with the electronic submissions.
3. Covering Letter: Author(s) must send a covering letter mentioning the title of the paper, name designation and details of the author(s) and institutional affiliation. The author(s) are compulsory required to make a solemn declaration about the originality of the manuscript and that the same has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. - Communication of Acceptance: The receipt of submission will be conveyed in 3 working days from the date of submission. The decision on the acceptance of the paper for publication will be that of the Editorial Board, which shall be final. The decision of acceptance will be communicated to the contributor within eight weeks of receiving the submission.

- Citation: For citation and references, The Bluebook, A Uniform System of Citation (20th Edition) should be strictly followed.
- Website: Only authoritative website may be cited. References to internet sources such as Wikipedia, commercial websites etc. are not acceptable. If you wish to submit, please email to ___ with the subject line “Submission: Name of the Paper_Your Name”
Terms and Conditions
- The manuscripts should be well research/documented following uniform citation method for footnotes.
- The manuscripts should be the original work of the contributor and not a compilation of pre-existing works on the subject. It should not amount to violation of others copyright. The contributor has to give a declaration as to originality of the work.
- The copyright in all papers published shall vest in the owner of Law Mantra.
- The views adopted from other sources and others’ work must be quoted and sufficiently acknowledged.
- Paraphrasing another authors’ work shall not be considered as original work. The source has to be acknowledged.
- The contributor has to cover the risk of being sued for copyright, defamation or contempt and shall be liable to suffer the losses if caused by violating copyright.
